Thinners / Deflocculants – Water Based Drilling Muds

A chemically modified "Chrome Free" Lignosulfonate, it consists of an iron complex of purified lignosulfonate then modified by grafting with acrylic acid. It is used as a viscosity and filtration reducer in both aqueous systems of fresh and salt water, in calcium oxide slurries, gypsum, potassium chloride or in any water based system with dispersing properties.

DX-ATH is an Aluminum Hydroxide powder suitable for a wide range of applications including drilling fluids, water treatment slurries, and flame-retardants/smoke suppressants. DX-ATH can be mixed with DX-Magnesium Hydroxide to form a mixed-metal hydroxide (MMH).

DX-Causticized Lignite is a product from North Dakota, used effectively as a mud thinning agent in high-pressure, high-temperature deep well drilling. Processed to be used effectively in both high and low pH systems. It is also a fast reacting, free flowing agent, which reduces fluid loss and gel strength. It improves dispersing ability over untreated lignite.

DX-DeFloc CF is an environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-hazardous, chrome-free, Quebracho tannin-based deflocculant/thinner. It is designed to reduce the viscosity of water-based muds and can be used successfully over a wide range of temperatures.
